The Backerkit surveys have been sent to your Kickstarter account registered email. Please check it out, if it is not in your inbox please check your spam folder, we would have sent it from [email protected].
For the backers who have answered the surveys, thank you for being so responsive to answering our BackerKit survey!
For the backers who have not answered their surveys yet, please fill-up the survey as soon as possible, so that the production will not be delayed. The “last” day to make final updates to your order is 18th May 2020. After this date, we will lock your reward selections and charge cards for add-on purchases, or pledge upgrades. You will still be able to update your shipping address up until we lock addresses for shipping fulfilment (likely at the end of June, we will post project update to confirm the date).
If you need to review your information or pledge status or edit your survey, you can request your survey at https://maco-go.backerkit.com/ by logging in with your Kickstarter account registered email.
Pre-order of Maco Go
As mentioned in the last project update, we have launched pre-ordering of Maco Go via Indiegogo InDemand:
We wanted to clarify this is not a separate crowdfunding campaign, it is simply a way for people that have missed out on the Kickstarter campaign to pre-order Maco Go. The price of rewards on InDemand is higher than in Kickstarter, and the delivery date will be after Kickstarter orders.
Free Gift in Survey
Thank you to who have helped us to share out our campaign. If you have received the confirmation with our team that you're entitled of the free gift (pouch + carabiner), you do not need to do the add-on for the pouch+carabiner in the survey unless you want to order extra. You might not see the free pouch included in the survey yet, please do not worry, we will add it in for you. Hello Maco family,
We did it! Our campaign was ended with 4,170 amazing backers. In the 24 days, we not only achieved our funding goal but also unlocked the 2 stretch goals. It has been an amazing journey!

The 3rd colour of Maco Go
We have a total of 155 responses from the poll (comments + messages + emails). The winning colour is Aqua! Along with black and grey colour, aqua will be the 3rd available colour. You will be able to confirm your colour choice in the BackerKit survey later.
What's next?
Here’s a brief overview of what you can expect next.
Payment Processing and Pledge Confirmation
It takes up to 14 days for Kickstarter to process the payment of your pledges. Some of you may be contacted by Kickstarter due to unsuccessfully card payment (please check your email and also spam folder), you have 14 days to fix it (until 4th April 2020) before Kickstarter confirmed the final numbers of backers to us.
BackerKit Survey (Pledge Management)
At the meantime, we're preparing our post-campaign fulfilment surveys on BackerKit (pledge management platform). In the survey, you will be able to fill in a number of important details, such as:
Confirm your shipping address
Choose your colour preferences (for your Maco Go(s) and Add-ons)
Select the add-ons if you pledged for during the campaign (anything you pledged on top of your chosen reward and shipping fee will be displayed as credit; on Backerkit, you choose what you want to spend your credit on)
Add any extraadd-ons you haven’t added yet and might want to add to your pledge (the same prices as on Kickstarter)
We will post the next project update when the BackerKit survey is sent out (around mid of April).
*Note: Please keep an eye on your email for all our future campaign updates so you don't miss the survey notifications. The emails from Kickstarter may go in your Spam/Junk folder, we recommend checking on our updates directly on Kickstarter from time to time.
Pre-production
While we are going through challenging and unprecedented times due to the COVID-19, we hope you and your families stay safe and healthy. Fortunately, our supplier in Taiwan and manufacturer partner in China are under good control and getting in a better situation. We've been told that they are back in normal operation about 2-3 weeks ago. The timeline looks promising and remains no change at the moment, we promise we will keep the communication open and transparent if there are any changes under these uncertain times.
We are working closely with our manufacturer now for the pre-production stage. We have produced several functional prototypes (working samples) for testing and final reviews before we proceed to mass production. There are photo and video as below which we would like to share with you.
Note: These are the prototypes and not the final colours.

Maco Go on InDemand
After our Kickstarter campaign has finished, we have some people reached out that they have missed out the pledging period. Therefore, we have created a campaign on Indiegogo InDemand to continue taking pre-order. Please do not worry, our Indiegogo campaign will have a later delivery date and also the prices are higher than Kickstarter prices that you have pledged. You are our priority and we want to be fair for you who have backed us earlier in Kickstarter.

Stretch Goal Colours + FREE Gift Announcement

Dear backers,
We would like to announce that both Stretch Goal-1 & -2 are unlocked! Thank you everyone for helping us to achieve these stretch goals.
The Winning Colour is:
We had a total of 1,099 responses from the colour survey and comment section for the second colour option of Maco Go. The winner is Grey (White is pretty close)! Therefore, we have 2 colour options for Maco Go now - Black and Grey. You will be able to confirm your colour choice in the BackerKit survey after our campaign ends.
3rd Colour Option:
The good news doesn't stop here. After confirming with our design team and manufacturing partner, we would like to introduce the 3rd colour for Maco Go! We need your help again to confirm the 3rd colour. The reason we don't simply pick "White" because it is similar to grey as part of the grayscale colour. We do hope that the 3rd colour to be more vibrant, for examples: Aqua, Sand, Red, Blue or etc. However, if white is still the highest voted colour, we will go with it. Could you please let us know your preference in the comment section below or direct message us. We will announce the 3rd colour after the campaign ends. Thank you!
Stretch Goal-2 Unlocked
As promised, we have over 3,000 backers on board, the Stretch Goal-2 is now unlocked. Thank you to who have helped us to share out our campaign. Dear backers,
In 8 days, we have almost 2,000 of you amazing backers on board. Thank you so much for helping us to bring Maco Go to life! After collecting the suggestions from you and our team brainstorming, we would like to announce the two stretch goals. Please see below for details.
If we reach 2,500 backers, we will unlock the first stretch goal - a new colour for Maco Go. We proposed 4 colour options as shown in the image above. We will send you a survey to vote when the Stretch Goal-1 is unlocked, or from now onwards you can let us know your colour choice in the comment section (welcome to suggest any other colour). We will do the count and announce the most voted colour.
The second stretch goal is to introduce the Maco zipper pouch + metal carabiner. It will be unlocked when we reach 3,000 backers. This idea was the most suggested stretch goal from the backers. The pouch is designed to carry your Maco Go, USB-A adapter, and other small items (such as Apple AirPods, Earphones, USB drive, etc). Additionally, it is water & dust resistant, so you can keep the small electronic items safe inside. With the carabiner, you can hook it to your bags (backpack, tote bag, handbag, etc), so you can easily find it.
We offer this as a FREE gift if you help us to share out our campaign on your social media or via email. Just take a screenshot and send it as a message to our social media accounts: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or email us at [email protected], we will take note and include this during the reward fulfilment.
Another way to get the Maco zipper pouch + metal carabiner is to do an add-on item. It is AUD $2 (~USD $1.30) for one set, please note that we do not make profit from it, this will help us to share the costs of manufacturing, logistic and fulfilment labour. We have thought of giving it as a free gift to every backer by setting a higher amount of backers. However, we think not everyone would use/need this pouch. It is same with our past experience of being a backer of other projects, we received free gifts from the creators but ended up that we didn't use it, and It became a waste.
We're excited with these two stretch goals! Our campaign still has 16 days to go, we believe we'll be able to make this happen with your help and other new backers on board.
